We are glad to report that the Compost Operation for Herr Foods will begin sooner than expected. At this point we are hoping to have a full storage of Compost by Spring of 2012. We will have pictures as the building progresses.

We are currently expanding our composting and experimenting with another side of composting called vermicomposting, or composting with worms. We are happy to report that earlier experimentation with the worms and potato waste was extremely successful and we have now expanded this into a much larger operation using a 12 x 5 ft bin designed by us to be able to automatically scrap the vermicompost from the bottom. For those of you interested in a different type of composting this is an exciting and easy way to dispose of your waste product.
